Courses
I have no prior experience in baking. Can I attend your course?

Yes, most definitely! We have wide variety of courses that ranges from beginner all the way to professional. The difficulty level is stated on all our course pages.

Are all courses only taught in English?

Most of our courses are taught in English, however, we do have Mandarin courses available too. Our teachers are all bilingual and would often translate to Mandarin during the course, if requested.

What is a typical class size?

It may vary but is capped at a maximum of 24 students for practical courses and 50 for theory courses. Teacher-student ratio: 1:24

How do I register for courses?

You can register for courses on our website or directly at our school. If you have trouble signing up online, please give us a call and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Registration for courses is confirmed only upon payment of deposit (for Funding) or full course fees.

What must I bring for the course?

Please bring a pen and notebook to write down notes. We also encourage you to bring your own takeaway containers for sustainability reasons.

What attire should I come in for the course?

We encourage you to come in a covered top, long pants and covered shoes for safety reasons. Individuals with long hair must tie their hair up for hygiene and safety reasons.

Funding and Claims
What type of funding is available for your courses?

We have 32 SkillsFuture approved courses that you can utilize your credits to attend our courses. Please click here to view our full walkthrough of using your SkillsFuture credits.

For NTUC members, there is UTAP Funding available to subsidise any of our SkillsFuture approved courses. Please click here for more information on UTAP Funding.

Why must I pay a $100 deposit for SkillsFuture Approved Courses?

The $100 deposit is a guarantee that you will be attending the course. But not to worry, you will be fully refunded within 5 working days once the course is completed.

How do I submit my claim to SkillsFuture and is the process tedious?

Not at all! You can follow our step-by-step walkthrough on the claim process. And if you require any assistance, we will be more than happy to assist you.

Your course fees are $500, but I only have $200 in my SkillsFuture account, can I still use them to attend the course?

Yes you can. You can utilize your remaining SkillsFuture credits and top up the balance of the course fees with your personal money.

How much do I have to claim from SkillsFuture for the course? Is it $100, $250 or $500?

You should claim the full course fees for the course on SkillsFuture.
$100 is only a deposit to secure your slot. The $100 will be returned once the course ends. However, this is not the full course fees.

The full course fees are either $250 or $500.

  • $250 is for any 1-day SkillsFuture Eligible Courses.
  • $500 is for any 2-day SkillsFuture Eligible Courses.

Do ensure that the claims are claimed correctly before you attend the course or a top up of the balance cost must be made upon arrival to the course venue.

What payments do you accept

Our website accepts both credit and debit card payments, as well as PayNow.

Cancellation
Can I cancel the course after payment is made?

To receive a full refund, cancellation must be done 10 days or more before the actual course date. The deposit of $100 or 50% of the full course fees will not be returned if the cancellation happens 10 days or less prior to the course date.

If I’m unable to attend the course, can I allow someone to attend on my behalf?

Yes, you may arrange for someone to attend the course. Please be prepared to incur an admin fee of $30 should this happen.

For SkillsFuture Approved courses, you have to cancel your claim on your end and ask the person taking your place to resubmit the claim for the course.

If I’m unable to attend the full course within the duration, will it be possible to have a make-up course?

We encourage students to attend the course within the duration. Make-up will only be given in the event that the next available course has un-filled slots. Priority will also be given to those who can attend the full course within the duration. This is not applicable to our WSQ Courses.
